J. Terence Feeley joined Rite Solutions of Middletown, RI as Director of New Ventures in February 2005. Rite Solutions www.rite-solutions.com is a high-growth employee-owned engineering services community founded in 2000. The company is focused on robust solutions for the Government and Commercial sectors with a special emphasis on 3D visualization and gaming based strategies for knowledge in the data problems.
Rite Solutions employs 150 people in 3 locations ( CA, CT and RI).
Terry’s responsibilities include developing new business with government agencies such as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) though the SBIR and Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) contract elements. He is also engaged in the building of strong strategic relationships with commercial enterprises.
Prior to joining Rite Solutions, Terry was the Executive Vice President for Corporate Strategy at Triton Systems Inc. (TSI), located in Chelmsford, MA. Triton is 100% government R&D in its core business and commercializes technologies through spin-offs. Terry's responsibilities included developing new business with government sponsors and transitioning the development stage technologies to the marketplace though spin-offs, joint ventures and licensing.
Terry was the co-founder, President, and CEO of Laser Fare, Inc. from 1980-1993. Laser Fare is a laser materials processing company that manufactures components for the aerospace, automotive and medical device industries. Terry then founded Laser Fare Advanced Technology Group, where he served as President from 1993-2002. The Advanced Technology Group focused on customer-funded research and development programs that built on Laser Fare's core skills and relationships with research facilities such as Federal National Laboratories, universities, government-funding agencies and Institutes of the Former Soviet Union.
Terry is the Chairman of the Board of S12 Technologies, which is a Triton spin-off, and also is a member of the board at the Mound Laser and Photonics Center. He has served one term as President and five terms on the board at the Laser Institute of America (LIA). He is a member of the OSA, SPIE, NDIA, and SME. Terry serves on the patent committee at the University of Rhode Island, is a trustee of the URI Foundation, and is a mentor for the Brown University Entrepreneurship Program.
In addition, Terry has written over 50 papers on the topic of laser materials processing with a focus on direct manufacturing. He was an editor for two books on laser manufacturing and an editor for the LIA materials processing handbook.
